My journey into Hypnotherapy
Kim Sweetland
Life isn't easy - I think many of us can relate to that!

I'm late diagnosed autistic and ADHD, and for over 40 years I struggled to understand why life often seemed harder than it appeared to be for everyone else.
Along the way, I lost a dear friend to suicide, found myself in abusive relationships, and gradually lost my sense of who I was and where I was heading.

Anxiety and depression became such a normal part of life that I stopped questioning them. I spent so much time just surviving that I forgot what it felt like to truly enjoy life or feel hopeful about the future.

Then, by chance, I discovered Solution Focused Hypnotherapy.
Not as a therapist, but as someone who needed help.

For the first time in a very long time, I was given the space to breathe, to understand myself better, and to realise that the way I was feeling didn't have to be permanent. I began to understand how my mind worked, why I felt the way I did, and how small changes could gradually lead me home to myself.

Things began to change. The anxiety eased, my confidence slowly returned, and life began to feel possible again. Most importantly, I started to reconnect with myself and build a future that felt like it belonged to me.

The impact was so profound that it led me to train as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist myself.

Today, I have the privilege of helping other people find their own way forward. While everyone's story is different, I know what it feels like to lose yourself, to feel stuck, and to wonder whether things can ever really change. I now know that they can.

Hypnotherapy gave me the space to grow into the person I wanted to become.
No-one needs 'fixing', they just need the right support to find their own way.
